Be sure to read the entire Race Details page in addition to this FAQ to make sure you have all the necessary info about The Harborside Half & 5k!

Packet pickup/registration is from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., so we suggest arriving no later than 7 a.m. to ensure you have time to park, pick up your bib, and ride the shuttle to the starting line before 9 a.m.
No, we love dogs but they’re not allowed on the course during the race.
Because wearing headphones greatly reduces your ability to hear race marshals and car traffic, we strongly discourage their use on the course.
No, for safety reasons strollers are not allowed on the course during this race.
No, we allow anyone to run this race. With that said, you should be prepared and cleared to run this distance. Minors will be required to have a parent/ guardian signature to participate in this race.
Yes, to be fair to our race marshals and water stop volunteers, the official end time is 3 hours and 40 minutes for the half marathon. However, we keep race signs and water stops up until the final person finishes. The later water stops may be self-serve after 11:45 a.m.
The roads are NOT closed for this race. We have police and race marshals at all major corners, but please be aware of traffic on the course. In congested areas there is a lane of cones for the runners. Please run within the cones for your own safety.
There will be five water stops: Mile 2.5, 4.5, 6.7, 9.7, & 12. Two will also have Gatorade and one will also have energy gel.
Portapotties will be located at the Start/Finish area and also at the Mile 12 water stop.
Bag Drop

There will be a self-serve bag drop tent outside in the Michael’s Harborside parking lot.

You can also leave clothing in the large Uhaul truck at the start. Clothing that is left at the start will be brought back to the Bag Drop tent.

Please be sure to pick up your bag by 12:30 pm.

Articles of clothing that are unclaimed after the race will be donated.
Loco Races is not liable for any losses or theft that may occur.

For both the half marathon & 5k, prizes are awarded to the top 3 men and women finishers overall, and to the top 3 men and women in the following categories: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Awards must be picked up at the red tent at the Finish. They will not be mailed.
Shirts are available in unisex sizes (S-XXL). You select a size during online registration but we allow you to choose a different size at packet pick-up because we know that sometimes shirts fit a little differently than you expected. However, because people can change their minds at the last minute, we don’t actually know how many of each size to order. We do our best to estimate (and we even order extras), but sometimes we run out of a particular size. So, if it’s really important that you get a specific size, be sure to arrive at packet pick-up as early as possible.
Shirts will not be mailed out.
We’re sorry, but there are no refunds, transfers or deferrals.
Yes, you may elect to drop down from the half marathon to the 5k. There will be no rebate or price difference. Please contact linda@locorunning.com ASAP if you’d like to switch.
The course is certified and accurate according to USATF standards. However your GPS measurement of the course is bound to be different and will most likely show the distance covered to be “long.” This is normal, and here’s a very technical explanation why: In GPS We Trust.
