Yes there is a FREE shuttle to the start

  • Shuttle Start: 8:00 am (buses every 5-10 minutes)

  • Shuttle Drop off Location: Parker Street (2 minute walk to race Start)
  • Last bus leaves at 8:45 AM

START: The Start is 1.2 miles from the registration area and the Finish. You can reach the start by jogging backwards on the course – the Rail Trail – or take the handy shuttle.

Parking Location: Public Parking lots near Merrimack Street.

PLEASE DO NOT PARK in the start area: Mark Richey Woodworking. We DO NOT have permission to have cars parked there for the race.

Does any part of this course run on the beach?

No, the entire course is on regular paved roads.

When can I pick up my bib? Sunday: 7:30 – 9 AM – at Michael’s Harborside.

Are there finishers medals?

Yes, all official entrants who finish will receive a finishers medal.

Do I receive a race-shirt with my entry?

No, instead of a race shirt, you will receive a very nice fleece head band and fleece gloves with the race logo – see above. . (Yes, race logo shirts are available on-line through the registration link and, while they last, at the race).

When do I line up at the start?

Please plan to line up in the start corral by 8:50 AM.

When should I arrive before the race?

The earlier the better! Arrive 75 minutes before the race to insure you have time to park and get to the start.

Can I run with a baby stroller?

No, for safety reasons, strollers are not allowed on the course.

Can I run with headphones or ear-buds?

So that you can hear traffic, and race marshals and for safety reasons, we strongly discourage the use of headphones on the course.

Can I run with my dog?

No, dogs are not allowed on the course.

Can I get a refund if I register but don’t run?

Sorry, once you have registered, there are no refunds.

You may not transfer your number to another person.

What is the time limit for this race?

The course time limit for the race is 3 hours and 40 minutes.

Are the roads closed for the race?

The roads are NOT closed for this race. We have police and race marshals at all major corners, but please be aware of traffic on the course.

In congested areas there is a lane of cones for the runners. Please run within the cones for your own safety.

What distance is this race?

This is a wheel measured accurate 13.1 mile course certified and with accurately placed mile markers.

About GPS course measurements

The course will be accurate according to USATF standards. However your GPS measurement of the course is bound to be different and most likely show the distance covered to be “long”. Not to worry, here is a very technical explanation why. Click Here

Where are the aid stops?

There will be five aid stations:

Approximate locations: Mile 2.5, 4.5, 6.7, 9.7, 12

Energy Gel: Mile 6.5

What is at the Aid Stations: Water is at every aid station, Gatorade at two stations.

Will there be changing facilities before the race?

There are no changing facilities available. Please show up ready to run.

Will there be restroom facilities?

Portapotties will be located at the Start/Finish area and also at one point on the course – water stop 5, mile 12.

Are there Award for top finishers?

Yes, there are awards for top overall finishers, female and male, as well as age group winners. Look for the Awards Table inside.

You must be present to receive your award. Awards will NOT be mailed.
